Why are Wisdom Teeth called Wisdom Teeth???
Yesterday I went to the dentist to take out my wisdom teeth … it was pretty horrible watching them use huge tools and feeling how hard he pushed and pulled. I cannot get over the fact that I have three stitches in my gums … and I thought that I could live my life free of stitches but at least I still don’t have any broken bones!

<EDIT> Never mind … ahh my dreams of having no broken bones and stitches have been shattered … I just found out that I had a greenstick fracture in my lower leg when I was 3 years old. Ah well I have plenty of other dreams to keep me in my fantasy world.

Chinese Contemporary Art
I was quite surprised with the popularity of Chinese Art ever since going on the Hong Kong Art Walk in 2006 … now with artists like Cai Guo-Qiang whose work was sold for $9.5million late last year, it seems to be quite difficult to ignore the boom in the market for Chinese Art. But I really wonder how long this sudden increase in interest can hold out for …

Above is an image of Yue Minjun’s work … I saw a copy of it yesterday in Wanchai …
Oh and I want to go to 798 in Beijing!!!!!!!!!!

Artist of the Day: Richard Deacon
I came across his work when I was in high school and found his snakelike skeletal work quite interesting … I wish that I could see his work in person since it would feel so different … almost like standing next to a giant creature or something … ooo creepy!
