Artist of the day: Charley Harper

Saw his work in a magazine some time ago but never really paid attention until I saw this …

I am so going to buy this tonight. <EDIT. I just realized how expensive it is! I will buy this when I make more money>

You’re right that The Illustrated Life is expensive, but Beguiled by the Wild, another book of Harper’s images that was recently reprinted, is reasonably priced and also features tons of eye candy. It’s smaller and obviously not comprehensive, but it includes tons of Harper’s well-known illustrations.

Serengeti Spaghetti, the last image you posted, is also the cover of Beguiled by the Wild. It’s a nice book, and a good value at $39.95.
